Yoga began as a mode of weight loss for Michelle, to lose baby weight. She was in search of a way to workout, that was accessible and adaptable. After the passing of her mother, Michelle dove deep into her practice. The more she practiced, the more she learned about herself and her body. Yoga had created a space to go that taught presence and provided a sense of peace. Michelle knew she wanted to share this with others in hopes that yoga could do the same for them.
In 2015 Michelle enrolled in a 200 hour teacher training at Dana Hot Yoga under the instruction of Lisa Mitchell. Teacher training is an experience to truly grow, transform, and learn about who you are. Graduating from teacher training in January 2016, was just the beginning. Since then Michelle has also completed a Level 1 Wall Vinyasa training in January 2017; Yoga Sculpt training in December 2017; and a second 200 hr teacher training in August 2019. Michelle has plans to complete a 300 hr in the future to always continue learning. The journey of a yoga teacher is never ending, always evolving, providing learning and opportunity for growth.
