Amy is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Yoga Instructor. She first discovered yoga as a teenager and has kept it an essential part of her wellness practice ever since. She earned a Yin Yoga Teacher Certification in 2009 from Main Line Yoga and soon after completed her 200hr Teacher Certification at Yoga on Main in Manayunk. There she learned Inner Fire Yoga, a stlye of Hatha Yoga encorporating Asana, pranayama, mudra, & meditation. While she loves yoga in many forms, Yin remains her favorite style to teach and has lead to profound personal growth in her own practice.

She earned her diploma and Pennsylvania license in Massage Therapy in 2011 and has worked as a Licensed Massage Therapist since. She discovered a love of Myofacial Release and continues to find it the most effective tool to encoporate into her treatments. Her massage style favors deep tissue sculpting, myofacial release and neuromuscular positioning techniques, in combination with appropriate stretching and posture application.

Through her work she developed a passion for health and fitness, applying physiology to helping the body function optimally. She earned a personal training certification as a Corrective Exercise Specialist. This laid the foundation for later persuing a pre/postnatal corrective exercise certification. Amy’s enthusiasm for learning has bolstered her practice with influence of a wide range of modalities including Thai Massage, Sports Massage, Reiki, and multiple styles of Myofacial Release.

Amy held a dual license in 2015-17 to work as a Certified Massage Therapist in California. It was there she was fortunate enough to work with an abundance of prenatal clients. She earned a Pre/Perinatal Massage Therapy certification through Carole Osborn’s program. Around the same time, she discovered FitForBirth when she sought a more comprehensive guide to fitness to support her personal fertility and pregnancy journey. She earned her certification as a FitForBirth Prenatal Fitness & Corrective Exercise instructor, and later as a Diastasis Core Consultant. Applying the tools she learned there had such a tremendous impact on her pregnancy and postpartum recovery. She continues to credit the techniques with helping to heal some of her own muscle imbalances and finds the principles effective for application on nearly every body.

Amy’s practice includes an integrative approach to wellness. Her clients benefit from her dedication to health and her commitment to learning and growing as a practitioner. She regards each client as a unique body and strives to meet them at their current goals. She believes we have the ability to heal our bodies and allow our greatest selves to thrive if we provide the appropriate space, support, rest, nourishment, and mindfulness.
