We Are Now Offering The Following Healing Center Services
Reiki
Reiki (pronounced ray-kee) is an ancient healing practice from Japan. The first character, Rei, means holy, spirit, gift or sacred. The second, Ki, is translated as energy. Ki, the “universal life force energy,” is equivalent to the Chinese Chi or Qi. Using light touch, the energy moves through the practitioner and is guided to the recipient. Reiki is an excellent treatment for relaxation, reduction of stress, and an aid in the healing of illness, injury or emotional distress–– among many other applications. A treatment can feel as if a wonderful, glowing radiance is flowing within and around you. Many people treated with Reiki have reported miraculous results. Reiki can be administered on a thick mat placed on the floor, or on a massage table.
Shiatsu
Shiatsu, a form of therapeutic massage, relieves stress, low back pain, digestive discomfort, headaches––and much more. It can help with fertility and reproductive issues. The modality works by moving stagnant energy, removing blockages and creating balance in the body––using the Meridians, a network of invisible channels running through the body. By applying firm pressure to specific points, the Shiatsu practitioner aids in the restoration of the flow of Chi. The body then begins to heal itself. All major systems improve; digestion, respiration, circulation, elimination and the immune system. The receiver of Shiatsu will feel empowered and responsible for these changes. Over time, the body begins to feel calmer, rejuvenated, balanced and more energized.
Thai Yoga Massage
Vedic Thai Yoga is like yoga and massage at the same time––essentially, assisted yoga postures. It involves stretching, acupressure, reflexology and energy work. The receiver remains resting, on a mat, while the therapist works to decompress joints and calm muscles. The result is healing and rejuvenation for the mind, body and spirit.
Ayurvedic Lifestyle Counseling
Ayurveda (pronounced eye-your-vay-da) is the oldest system of natural health care in the world. Born in India, it has been practiced continually for over 5,000 years. Emphasizing disease prevention and self-care, the word Ayurveda means “the science of life.” Through diet, lifestyle and physical practices, an individual can learn to balance the elements of water, fire and air, cultivating lasting wellness. Ayurveda is easily applied to your life––the first step is determining your dosha (imbalance or tendency). With the help of a practitioner, a customized diet and lifestyle plan is advised, complimented by the use of specific herbal formulas.
